Kick Some Cass!
14 March 2009
Forgive me for the title but I think it is funny! And it's true.
For the last four weeks or so I have been feeling little butterfly flutters from my wee babe. Well, the last few days I've actually felt a distinct jab or two, (almost like getting flicked from the inside.)
Last night, our little Bubs was having a hey day. I had just eaten some Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice cream and I think Shim was showing their enthusiasm for it! Chocoholics are started young in this family! Anyway, Justin got to feel the baby kick for the very first time- Twice. Then we just sat and watched the show. We saw 3 more big kicks, my belly actually moved in a spot about a 1/4 of an inch out! It was the best entertainment ever!
Justin has been wanting to feel the baby for so long, it was really fun! He would say "Whoa, was that one", and I would know that he felt the big kick I just did!
I am just so excited!
**P.S. We will have to wait another 2 weeks to find out what we are having. The lady who was doing the sonogram, wrote down that we were having a girl (Even though she told us she didn't know- and I am perfectly happy with a girl).
When I called in to visit them this week, and asked "you said I could come in..." She was like "It says your having a girl- so you can just wait." (from me -big aggressive sigh!) I am going to be having some words with my doctors. I cannot stand being told "I'll do it" and then having that person just totally blow me off- totally unprofessional! But, two weeks is not all that bad, but I am definitely going to explain my frustrations, hopefully nicely.

That is so exciting! Two more weeks...It seems like forever, but you get to go through all the excitement of finding out twice (hopefully just twice...)!
!!!!How great!!!!! Feeling the kicks NEVER gets old!!
I'm excited to know what you are having!
Those first kicks are great! By the end of your pregnancy, just focus a video camera on your belly and catch the action then! In my opinion, I like the first few kicks. Then I kind of don't like it when the babe runs out of room and gives you a right foot to the ribs and a left jab to the cervix... all while pressing on your ever-squashed bladder. Can you tell I'm done? It is one of those feelings though that is really hard to explain to someone who's never felt it before! A great experience that you actually miss when the baby is born. You'll have a little, ahem, gas moment and go, "Oh! Was that the baby?" I can't wait to hear what you're having!
OOHHHH!!!! That is THE BEST feeling! It kind of makes me want another one ;) Glad all is wewll and you tell those doctors about that mean lady- the nerve she has to mess with a pregnant lady!
"Hopefully nicely." I laughed at that statement because I have never seen a mean word or expression fly off either you or Justin. You two are some of the nicest people we have ever met. I hope you do show your frustrations with the tech as well as the doctor. Your first pregnancy should be wonderful and happy with doctors and technicians trying to make it the best experience possible.
Baby movements are the best part of pregnancy especially when you can share it with your hubby. Now he knows what you have been feeling all along. Just wait till that 8th month when you can literally feel the baby's entire body move positions. That is one of the strangest most exhilarating feelings ever.
That is wonderful! How exciting! Wait until your whole belly moves! I can't wait to find out what you are having!! The suspense...
Cass and Justin,
I'm so excited for you guys! Feeling the baby is one of the most amazing parts! How super annoying about the ultrasound lady. Can't wait to hear!
I LOVE watching my baby kick. It's addictive, and I agree, extremely entertaining.
Those Dresses are real cute
