Patio Reveal

13 June 2010

This couple at This Fresh Fossil have been busy digging up a large surprise.  This is what They found.

About one year ago, we found out there was a patio buried in our backyard.

About 2 months ago, we began to dig it up.

About 2 weeks ago, I began power washing it.

Just in time for our first ever Patio Party.

Why would anyone literally bury this cement patio?

I guess we'll never know.

Want to know our budget breakdown for getting our new huge patio?

Zero dollars.

Lots of wark.  Looks like they can now sit back and
relax on their new patio.  I love projects that cost
nothing.  What are your thoughts?

That looks great! I concur, why would anyone bury such a terrific patio?! I hope I find the original sidewalks around my house...

Sa-weet!!! I wonder if I can find a patio in my back yard (Likely not as it's an old cow pasture).

Hey I've never found anything THAT functional when I go digging in my backyard! Awesome... :)

Ohmygosh, thanks so much for featuring us! I was catching up on my favorite blogs in my reader when I saw the photo of my hubby in our backyard, and I was like - wait a second, this picture looks familiar...!

Thanks so much for the wonderful comments, everyone. And to answer some questions: our next-door neighbor originally told us about the buried patio (we never would have known!) - apparently she looked out of her window one day to see the previous owner dumping a truck-load of dirt onto the patio. Crazy, huh?

Thanks again for featuring us - it's our first -but hopefully not our last! ;)
