Play House Inspiration

25 July 2011

One of the many projects in progress at our house is a play house for the girls.
Here is a sneak peek, it may take us 8 more months to finish but at least you knew about it first right?

You have probably seen that image before if you like Disney shows!
... yes I am copying the painting from Rapunzel for the play house! Cheesy I know but we love the movie!

Go here to see the next part of this project.  The tree mural!

Here is what I pinned for the mural:

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to share some fun playhouse ideas that I have found mostly via pinterest:

I had to add one more:
Check out their others, my jaw was on the floor!

Do you guys have any great inspiration for playhouses?

I can't wait to see what you'll come up with!

Thank you for posting those other ideas! I just pinned the tablecloth play house on Pinterest because I NEED to make that for my kids. Perfect for those of us living in apartments!

My favourite is the reading tent! The yellow and white dots are intriguing.

I posted the exterior of my daughter's playhouse earlier in the spring, but I'm STILL working on the inside! We've gotten pretty far with it but not where I want to show pictures yet! Hopefully soon!

Wow! That's a lot of inspiration. Can't wait to see what you come up with! Makes me wish my kids were still playhouse age. (or that I could build the tent & pillow one for myself and not have everyone thinking I've lost my marbles)

Please show us the progress. I'm now curious what you are doing? I loved the site you linked. All I can say is wow!!!

That corner castle is so adorable!! I seriously want that for my future nursery!

When I was little, my mom sewed us a tent that went over a card table. It looked like a circus tent, and we LOVED it! I'm excited to see what you come up with for your girls.

Thanks for sharing our reading tent! :)

I love the built-in castle playhouse, so creative. Can't wait to see your finished play house!
