Staging Your Foyer

30 March 2011

Love, Love, LUFF this image.  I really want a mirrored table like this someday.  I also love the orchid, who doesn't?  ( I guess as long as you don't have allergies to them...)

But one thing I especially love is the pop of red.  Do you see it?  Doesn't it look great!  I need to stage things in my house.

What do you like/hate about this image?

The colors are great (I'm a sucker for anything Turquise).. but I LOVVEE how they've played with heights, staggering smaller bowls etc.. with the orchids and lamps!

The colors are BEAUTIFUL for sure! Personally I think it's a bit too busy though. This is not a 'staged' look, but a 'designed' look for sure. I would suggest one lamp, a stack of books with the plant on the other side to balance out, and a tray in the middle to hold keys, mail, etc. You can then throw in a couple little things here and there--but this is a really overpowering look.

I agree, this is beautiful... but not practical. One plant would be enough and there are too many small things/bowls. I like both lamps and the books. Very nice!

I love it too. Would prefer a little less on the beautiful mirrored table for my home.

I honestly wouldn't change a thing. I LOVE IT!! It gives me a great idea for my bedroom.

Very pretty but I a bit too busy. It needs a little editing. Maybe remove one lamp and move the orchid to it's former spot. And switch the book out for a red notepad. Other than that, I really love it.

I love it! I'd love mirrored tables for my bedroom! I think they're so "Hollywood" for some reason! LOL!!!

I love this! If this were my house, it's missing the baskets assigned to each kid (2). Baskets to drop their shoes & backpacks in before they go further into the house. Too many where's my stuff mornings.

If I walked into a house and the foyer was stages like this I would guaranteed want to buy it!!!!

I have to agree with Alison...I really like the colors, but there is too much stuff on the table...take 2 or 3 item off the table, and it will look 100% sharper!
