Making Mood Boards

16 August 2011

In school we always had to make boards for our project presentations.  They took a long time, and usually cost a lot of money!

...well fast forward 5 years and I don't really make mood boards anymore.  Although, Roeshel and I had about 2 hours to make one while traveling on a bus to the studio for the the Shaw flooring event.

*be nice about the board, we were on a bus, and only had a random box of magazines and a glue-stick to work with!

It was fun to make one again, so I was excited about this website, which you may all know about, but I will tell you about anyway (in case you don't)  Olioboard.  My husband actually found it for me and I have been having fun playing around with it.

In fact in September, I am going to host a special party for mood boards dates to be announced.  So, if you wanna play around with their site do.  (by the way, this is NOT a sponsored post, I just thought it would be a fun resource for you, especially if you don't have Photoshop!)

Here are some fun boards that I found that I found.

Which board is your favorite?
So tell me, is this a site you would use?
I hope this has been a useful post!  (Yes or No)

YES, a very informative post -- thanks for the introduction to Olioboard.

I just recently heard about Olioboard. I like the idea of using a mood board but a lot of my decorating is "as I go" type of thing. I have an idea in my head, of course, but then things change as I go along.

Never heard of Oilboard, looks very interesting.

I like the first as it reminds me of my furniture, but I would like to update so the second one appeals to me.

Have a great weekend

I loved the last one... the white hanging piece of furniture caught my eye. Will check out Olioboard. I am not a professional but would love to see what Olioboard has to offer to me. Thanks for sharing.
