What is it?

The Silhouette SD is an electronic cutting tool that connects to your computer allowing you to cut fonts and images in cardstock, vinyl, heat transfer material, etc.

What can it make?

The Silhouette can be used to create scrapbooks, cards, home decor, custom apparel, school projects, glass etched projects, stencils, etc.

This week I am going to be showing you some projects I have been working on, and other great ideas I have found that you can do on this great machine (like this post here)!

So, please follow the steps below and enter to win your very own Silhouette SD machine!

Unknown, March 23, 2011 at 4:25 PM: I am tooootally crazy about this great invention. If I were so so so lucky to win a Silhouette machine, I think I would use it for every kind of projects. Oh God! So many things are coming to my mind at this very moment! I love crafting and I often find that different techniques can be connected to each other somehow. I would cut out templates for stenciling, for example. An idea just came to my head, you can cut any shape you like out of vynil or any other plastic material, stick it on the surface you want to decorate and paint it with Gesso, instead of paint, to add volume (then you can take the sticker out of the surface). I can also think of a thousand ways to decorate a child’s room using the Silhouette SD cutting machine, and his/her clothes, too!
