I love this idea, I had to document it. The cool thing about this project is that it could be recreated really easily. Bulk trash day is coming up and that means old wooden fence posts will be waiting around every corner here in Texas... I think I need to do some trash pickin'!

This is a FANTASTIC idea! I love the very rustic feel that it brings to a room. I have a few of my own vintage crates lying around the house and more books than I know what to do with. Thanks for the great inspiration!

Love the idea. Good inspiration photos. I have a saved photo of old fruit crates used as a bookcase. Yet, it has been impossible for me to find these old crates.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea!! I'm always on the look out for these crates. Have yet to find any for next to nothing or free.

I love these crates. I think the idea of fence posts is a great solution too. I tried to find old crates for our wedding and I was shocked at how much they can be!

Love this idea. I might have to add some to my games room and just modernize it with some crisp clean white ceramics for the rustic modern look I love.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, that would fit in nicely in our home.

ReplyDeleteI once painted one a red and hug it on my daughters wall to hold her books. But I think that I really like the rustic look. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteI like the roomy cubbies. Really great idea! Not sure, but I think that if you added short legs to the bottom, a 2-tier shelf would look pretty cool too.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I didn't know you are a Texas blogger. I am in Texas too, what part are you from?
